Seychelles is surely a paradise, but what is more important is that it is an accessible paradise. Mahe, the main island can be easily reached from various destinations by planes and cruise ships. And when you do get there, you can get around by coach, taxi, hired vehicles, helicopter, domestic planes, ferries, chartered boats, bicycles, etc. |

| If you are on La Digue, and feeling intoxicated from all that sea air, sun, tranquility, and breathtaking landscapes, then a leisurely ox-cart is the ideal mode of transportation- besides, with the gentle laid-back pace of the cart, you will not miss out on the beautiful sceneries.
Hired bicycles on Praslin and La Digue, where cars are kept to a minimum, also offer a mode of getting around that can be tailored to your pace, if you want to absorb the surroundings. To access some of the other islands in the Seychelles you can take the ferry or fly, the choice is yours. |

Cruise ships: If planes are not your thing, then you can enjoy a luxurious cruise to the Seychelles. The main port in the capital city, Victoria sees a number of cruises that pass through frequently, making short stops on their way to other destinations. |

Ferries and chartered boats: Air-access by plane to some of the other islands, like La Digue, is not possible, so ferries are the way to go, especially if you enjoy sailing. Buses: The Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) operates a network of 41 routes with 1100 trips daily, running according to well-defined schedules that carry the public throughout all over on Mahé and Praslin only at a flat rate of SCR7 per trip. The bus start operating from 05:30 am till 08:00 pm on a daily basis. An air-conditioned bus service offers community a greater standard of comfort at a slightly higher fare of SCR10. The SPTC do not operate on La Digue to avoid disturbing the fragile ecosystem of the island. |

Taxi: Taxis are numerous and the main stations are Victoria and the Seychelles International airport. Many taxi drivers operate long into the night. The rates have been determined by the government. |

Hired vehicle: If you want to tour the islands at your convenience and in privacy, there are many car hire companies on Mahé and Praslin. You will have to show an official driving license to hire a vehicle.
